According to the Evening Standard, both musicians were on a boat on the Thames following the Brit Awards as part of a EMI and Puma Social afterparty. Gallagher reportedly kissed both of Albarn's hands before planting "a smacker on his lips" while "shocked guests," including Coldplay's Chris Martin, looked on.
"It's funny to think Blur were last here 17 years ago and when we were big rivals," Albarn said.
"Isn't it funny how we've both mellowed after all these years? We've buried the hatchet."
Gallagher -- who performed 'AKA...What A Life' during the BRIT Awards with his own band High Flying Birds and Martin -- is touring behind his new band's debut. The group, recently added to the T in the Park lineup, play Newcastle this evening before hitting North America for another jaunt in late March.
As for Albarn, as we reported Wednesday, his cartoon band Gorillaz has recorded a song with James Murphy and Andre 3000 entitled 'DoYaThing' which is now available for download from Converse. Meanwhile, Blur closed out the BRIT Awards with a performance after receiving the Outstanding Contribution to Music award. Earlier this week, the group announced via Twitter they're set to headline the London Olympic Closing Ceremony Celebration Concert Aug. 12 at Hyde Park (the concert will also feature New Order and the Specials).
