In Their Words: "'Acrobatics of a Patchwork Heart' was originally written in 2007 and was the first time I tried writing on the piano. We first began demoing the song in July 2010. We came up with a few different and interesting versions. One was a heavy distorted bass version with the working title 'Acrobatics of Truck Rock 6/4' as well as a rhythmically confusing version aptly named 'Acrobatics of a Mathlete 7/4' and finally a simple lo-fi piano take called 'Acrobatics 1954.' We revisited the song last month and used the opportunity to tinker with recent electronic experiments. The result is very different from anything we have done before." -- Singer Gary McFarlane
