Lovedrug Deliver a 'Youth Anthem' With 'Wild Blood' -- Song Premiere

You have to hand it to Lovedrug, despite record label woes and other music business-related setbacks, the Ohio alt-rockers not only kept their heads in the game, they became a stronger band in the process. After taking most of of the last couple of years off the road to focus on their songwriting, the band is returning with 'Wild Blood,' their fourth and most accomplished album yet.

Going for a warmer, more organic sound, Lovedrug hooked up with producer Paul Moak, whose Nashville-based studio proved to be the ideal setting for the album's recording sessions. "We felt there was a certain energy to these songs that would be lost if we reduced the process to the typical modern method of tracking one part at a time," says Lovedrug singer Michael Shepard.

'Wild Blood' doesn't hit stores till March 6, but in this Spinner exclusive we bring you the premiere of the album's infectious title track.

"'Wild Blood' is a youth anthem and it encapsulates the aura of the entire record," Shepard tells Spinner. "You know that feeling you get when you're young, like anything is possible, like the world is at your fingertips and nothing is going to stand in your way? That's what 'Wild Blood' is about. That's how we feel right now. That's what this record means to us."
