Monkees drummer Micky Dolenz told Billboard.com, "My understanding is they want to avoid a media circus and... the family wants to keep it very, very low-key and very, very private.
"You can imagine as soon as one or two or any of us were to show up, it would very quickly be degraded into something that I don't think his immediate family would want to deal with. So I'm kind of respecting their wishes, whatever their wishes may be."
Dolenz hopes he and the Monkees' "loveable dummy" Peter Tork will be able to pay their respects to Jones at the public memorials planned for New York and the singer's native Britain.
"He obviously had fans and family and associates on both continents," he said. "It's pretty early days, you know, to be making too many plans. I'm still in shock."
The drummer also added that he could envision a Monkees memorial gig down the line, though a a full-on reunion was unlikely. Jones, Dolenz and Tork toured last year to mark the Monkees' 45 anniversary.
"We've had a sort of unspoken, I guess, agreement over the years that if it's just two of us getting together we never called it the Monkees... I can see us getting together to do a memorial concert, of course, but right now I can't imagine anything else happening without the Manchester Cowboy."
Jones died of a heart attack on February 29. He was 66.

Why wouldn't they use a full-group shot (since the story is about all four of them)? Otherwise, it looks like they're saying that Micky, Peter, and DAVY won't be going to the funeral (and we know Davy's gonna be there).

After the 6 month amnesty period, all illegal aliens and their children under 18 years of age caught in the US will have their vehicles, homes, cash and valuables confiscated and they will be deported and barred from seeking US citizenship for a period of 15 years., sending them home with what they came here illegally with....NOTHING ! All future documented workers will be bonded by the employers and they will be responsible for the housing and medical care for them. Their children will not become US citizens automatically. When they become legal age they can get in line behind everyone else waiting to become a US citizen. They will be fleeing the US in droves to keep from losing all their possessions and those that dont and have their possessions confiscated will go to help offset the costs of deporting them,

You gentlemen were always gracious when I worked many of your 20th Anniversary concerts and its obvious its wasn't an act. Many of todays celebrities could learn a lot from your example. God Bless you both!

I recall Whitney's recent New Jersey church memorial had Stevie Wonder, Jesse Jackson and Mariah Carey attend hers. If those "slightly" more famous stars can manage it, I'm sure you can !
