Ceremony, 'Adult' Video -- Growing Up Can Be Freaky Too

Last week in Austin, I decided to check them out again at the SXSW Mess With Texas show and, wow, what a difference a month makes. From the get-go, Farrar's mania was about 10 times more intense than in February. Hair and tank top askew, he dove into the crowd with abandon, wrapped his microphone cord around his neck as if to hang himself from the small outdoor stage then threw the mic down to the stage then stomped on it in rhythm. A few brave/stupid fans even climbed the speakers at the side of the stage to jump into the small circle pit, if you could call it that given how few people were willing to get that crazy. Check out video of all that here courtesy of Rock It Out Blog!
That craziness isn't quite matched in Ceremony's new video for 'Adult,' which premiered on Spin and, according to the Mata Blog, "explores the song's theme of retaining the passions and vitality of youth amid the orthodoxy of adulthood." Rather, this time they go the creepy route, showing a suburban mom's unsettling afternoon while her husband and son are away. Check it out below!
