After five long years, Portland band Chromatics are finally preparing to release a 17-track double-album entitled Kill for Love shortly, but the entire album can be streamed via multi-instrumentalist Johnny Jewel's SoundCloud here. In a recent interview with The Guardian, Nicolas Jaar explains why he housed his label's new compilation album Don't Break My Love in an aluminum cube, and revealed that he is "Never going to sign for a major label, period." [TheGuardian]
As he prepares to release his Philip Glass-inspired mini-album Exercises on April 24, Montreal producer CFCF has turned in a beautiful remix for fellow Acéphale Elite Gymnastics. Spanish music festival Sonar has added some heavy hitters to its various lineups (now including dates in Tokyo, Cape Town and Sao Paulo) including New Order, James Murphy and Untold, who will be performing at the Barcelona event on June 14 and 16. In collaboration with Sonar, the Red Bull Music Academy SonarDome event has also added DJ Harvey, Dj Spinn & DJ Rashad and others. Looks pretty wild. [XLR8R]
