Florence Welch & Josh Homme 'Jackson': Duo Covers Johnny Cash on 'Unplugged'

"MTV Unplugged" offers artists the opportunity to show their versatility, range and influence by allowing them to strip down the arrangements and providing them the chance to dig into a couple covers. When Florence and the Machine stopped by the venerable institution, Flo brought out Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme to cover "Jackson," the duet made famous by Johnny Cash and June Carter. The group will also tried their hand at Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness."

The performance will air on April 8 get and be released on CD/DVD and digital download two days later. However, you can listen to their version of "Jackson" below, thanks to Consequence of Sound. Florence Welch trades out Cash's signature deep monotone for her trademark bellow, adding an interesting depth to the song.
