Rufus Wainwright, 'Out of the Game' Video: Helena Bonham Carter Plays Librarian

Rufus Wainwright's upcoming Out of the Game is supposedly his "best work" yet, and the title-track's video comes close to living up to that boast. The Philip Andelman-directed clip stars Helena Bonham Carter as a wound-up librarian with a sexy secret. She awaits nervously for the delivery of a mattress while shouting at the "suckers" reading quietly.

The video also follows three iterations of Wainwright himself: A dashing and debonaire man in a fedora, Rufus in drag and a drugged-out Sonic Youth-obsessed dope fiend that stares at himself in the bathroom mirror.

It sounds dark, but it's really a barrel of laughs! Check out the new video below and grab the Mark Ronson-produced Out of the Game from Decca Records on May 1.
