Courtney Love, Hole Reunion: Singer Joins Mid-'90s Lineup in New York City

"Is there a lady in the house who wants to join us for a song?" asks bassist Melissa Auf der Maur in the clip below, and before long, Courtney is at the mic, waiting for a roadie to bring her a guitar strap. Once he does, Hole knocks out "Miss World," and after the crowd clamors for an encore, Love dutifully returns for the Wipers cover "Over the Edge."
"Can I see the words really quick? Love asks, before deciding she'll just wing it. "Michael Stipe put 'saffron' as a lyric. It's a challenge, and I'm going to put 'saffron' into a Wipers song."
All the talk about the Wipers, a seminal punk group from Portland, leads Love to reveal what it would take for her to appear on the comedy Portlandia.
"I will do that f---ing show when they do Courtney Love Comes from Portland Day," she says.

Uh Robbie...most widowed people whose departed spouses weren't completely destitute "live off" of their spouses' money somehow, through inheritance or whatever, in or out of the music business. The law tends to require that surviving spouses be provided for.There must be hundreds or thousands of widows/widowers of music business performers/writers receiving royalty or residual checks from their late spouse's creative output.Kurt doesn't need money where he's gone, but the living need money to survive.He's not being deprived of anything that he needs right now.If you idolize him so much,try spelling his name right for starters. You're not sounding too grown up here, Robbie.Courtney has a right to perform her own songs with her own band.She has a right to benefit from her late spouse's estate just like all other widows.Go watch acts that you do like and leave the ones you deplore alone, life will be better for you. Nobody appointed you the arbiter of who has a right to live and who doesn't.
