In the sketch, Samberg and Killam -- clothed, at first -- venture into the singer's dressing room and tell him how much they love his music. He's flattered, but when they return later fully naked, their bodies decorated with the colorful abstract-art shapes seen in the video, he gets a little freaked out.
"We're like you," Samberg says. "Get it?"
"It's weird, guys," Gotye responds.
The Aussie-Belgian pop star also played two songs. First up, of course, was "Somebody That I Used to Know," which featured a guest appearance from New Zealand riser Kimbra, who sings on the record and appears au naturel in the aforementioned vid. On "Eyes Wide Open," the second tune, Gotye kicked it with just his band, proving why those comparisons to Sting and Peter Gabriel are so apt.
As good as it is, "Eyes Wide Open" is less distinctive than Gotye's first single, so if Weird Al decides to get in on the action, he's going to have his work cut out for him.
