According to the official Hillside site, which released the information today, East Coast artist Rich Aucoin, Bry Webb and The Providers, Elliott Brood, Ohbijou, Joel Plaskett Emergency, Zeus, and the Mickey Hart Band led by the Grateful Dead drummer will also perform. The complete schedule hasn't been finalized but Edwards, Arkells and Bombay Bicycle Club are set for the opening day while Mickey Hart Band and Leonard Cohen's son Adam Cohen are slated for July 28.
Tickets for the festival go on sale May 5 at 10 a.m. local time with weekend passes set at $115. A ticket to the first day costs $40 while both Saturday and Sunday's single tickets are priced at $70. A seniors weekend pass is also available at $57.50. All ticket prices do not include sales tax and service charges.
Last year's festival included Sloan, the Sheepdogs, the Rural Alberta Advantage, the Dears and Dan Mangan, among others. The festival, which started in 1984, has a reputation for booking future Canadian stars well before they hit mainstream and has featured several notable musicians perform over the years including Arcade Fire in 2005, Broken Social Scene in 2003 and Feist back in 2000.
More artists will be added to this year's roster in the coming weeks.
