Rachael Yamagata Performs 'You Won't Let Me,' 'Dealbreaker' at Indaba's Suite 268 -- Exclusive Video

Our friends at Indaba Music recently opened Suite 268, a performance space in their New York City loft where artists can film performances and get paid whenever anyone watches the videos they upload. In honor of the occasion, Rachel Yamagata recently stopped by the space to perform "You Won't Let Me" and "Dealbreaker," and lucky for you, we have the video proof!

"Lyrically, it's one of my favorites," Yamagata tells Spinner of "Dealbreaker." "I Love the subject of self-growth and the satisfaction you find when you finally figure out your own baggage. The knife turns deeper when you realize you've lost the one that might have worked out if you'd figured out those problems sooner. It's bittersweet."

Speaking of "You Won't Let Me," Yamagata says, "I remember sitting on Venice beach at sunset to have a first listen to the demo we tracked. As I was there this giant mass was floating directly to me through the waves. When it washed up I could see it was a dead baby whale. I was literally crying over the beauty of this song and here comes this dead whale. I figure it's some sort of sign, although I'm not sure what yet."
