Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold Scores LOLcats Film

Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold is scoring a LOLcats film entitled "The Internet -- A Blog Cats WTF Universe" that covers very Pecknoldian themes like existential crises, and God, and stuff like that. The film is being helmed by Pecknold's brother Sean (who has manned the wheel of several Fleet Foxes music videos) alongside Matt Daniels. Pecknold announced the news by posting a link to the project's Kickstarter page on his Facebook.

According to the site, "This is a story of a man's hopeless quest for truth among the cats." If you weren't hooked by that, which obviously you were, the kickstarter page elaborates on the protagonist: "Matt is one of the best LOLCat caption writers in the world," the site reads. "He's experienced the rise of the internet and came out on top. Thousands of fans, plenty of money in the bank, a successful career. But one day he realizes that perhaps there's more to life than just viral internet cat humor."

Whether or not there is indeed more to life than cat humor (debatable), the question leads Matt down an existential rabbit hole, at the end of which may or may not lie an "epic animated God creature." The Fleet Fox will handle all the music in the cat movie with the exception of one techno song. Take a look at the video below.
