Utilizing a simple back beat and slightly fuzzed-out rhythm guitar, Broncho achieve a sound that's both throwback and very in the "now." Lindsey's vocals are reminiscent of Big Star or Cheap Trick, but with more of a '90s snarl. It's super cool music and the video just makes it sweeter.
When our hermetic hero comes too close to making vocal contact, he slides underneath of a plastic sheet, fleeing to a world were he can lament through song, all day.
"We nearly died of suffocation during the making of this video," Broncho tell Spinner of the George Salisbury and Tate James-directed clip. Watch "I Don't Really Want to Be Social" below and make sure to check out the band's debut full-length Can't Get Past the Lips.
