Ringo Starr, 'Hole in the Fence'--Ex-Beatles Drummer Sells Musical to Paramount

Ex-Beatles drummer Ringo Starr teamed up with former Eurythmics man Dave Stewart to write a musical, which they now have successfully sold to Paramount for a silver screen adaptation. The musical is entitled "Hole in the Fence" and is a coming-of-age tale about a group of kids who start a band in order to escape their humdrum mining town.

The duo already have experience as collaboration partners; Starr brought Stewart in to produce his 2008 album Liverpool 8. The two will serve as the project's executive producers along with Pam Williams.

David Harris is currently writing the script based on the concept and original music cooked up by Starr and Stewart. No release date or attached actors have been announced as of yet.
