Sheryl Crow Flubs Lyrics to 'Soak up the Sun' During Florida Concert

As reported on TMZ and found on YouTube, Crow was playing Saturday evening in St. Petersburg when she forget the lyrics to her song "Soak up the Sun."
"So I'm stuck here watching TV," Crow sings with her band behind her before everything unravels. "Oh what's the words? It's live, there's no tape here," Crow says with a smile as her band looks on and the guitarist chuckling. "I'm 50, what can I say, my brain's gone to shit!"
On the bright side it means Crow doesn't lip synching or doesn't use a teleprompter (or if she does, she couldn't find it on stage). And the flub would've been perfectly timed for the song "Anything But Down" after singing the lyric, "How quickly you forget."
Crow made no mention of the miscue on her website but instead posted a series of pictures from the concert entitled "A Taste of Pinellas," a benefit gig for the All Children's Hospital, on her Facebook page. The singer has a string of U.S. dates sprinkled throughout the summer in support of her 2010 album 100 Miles from Memphis.
Late last month Crow ran her first half-marathon in Nashville as part of the St. Jude Country Music Half Marathon. The singer was raising money for New Hope Academy and finished in 1:59:14.
