If you were to ask Brooklyn-based musician Doe Paoro to describe her music, she would respond "Ghost Soul." Her music is wistful and wispy, and reminiscent of "a choir of ghosts who haven't completely detached from the human experience."

Her song "Born Whole" is just like that. It appears on her Slow to Love album, out now, and features drifting and plaintive vocals that oscillate between ethereal and soulful. "We come into being as complete people, but somewhere along the line start searching for this mythical other 'half,' as though we didn't have everything we needed," Paoro tells Spinner.

The remix of of "Born Whole" by DJ Russ Manning, formerly of Twin Shadow, is a fitting other half to the original. The electric bleeps and sped-up tempo lift the song into a completely different register. Take a listen below.
