Amy Winehouse 'Freaked Out' by Adele's Success, Mark Ronson Reveals

"She liked her," Ronson said in a recent interview with the Village Voice, "but Adele's success was making Amy feel upset, competitive, restless."
Ronson says he discovered this while he and Winehouse were in talks to begin work on a new album. Unfortunately, the project never got off the ground, as Winehouse was "in a bad state," partially because of Adele's rapid rise.
"Anyway, we lost touch briefly," Ronson said. "And before she and I could really start the process of beginning a new album, it was too late."
