Oliver Twizt
Dutch DJ Oliver Twizt caught our attention with his "jump" medley, mixing various covers of House of Pain's "Jump Around" that had everyone's feet off the ground. Twizt began as a hip-hop head and producer before putting together his own playlists, and joining the Mad Decent cause. Earlier this month he released a collabo with Diplo, "Go."
Arty
Rave shades handy? You'll want them for Russian DJ Arty's set. The 22 year old (aka Artem Stolyarov) had the crowd chanting his name mid-set and reciprocated the love by throwing up the heart sign. But when this guy's not flipping terms of endearment at the crowd, he's busy figuring out a way to lay his token trance licks over electrohouse thump. One second he's playing pixie-vocals over soaring space music, the next it's being woven into grimier booty shake. Arty! Arty! Arty!
Wolfgang Gartner
With a name like Wolfgang, you can already anticipate a whole lot of awesome. An Amadeus of sorts, the California native born Joey Youngman had his breakthrough year in 2010 after leaving a lasting impression with his opus "Wolfgang's 5th Symphony." At the fest, it was his gritty remix of Pharoahe Monch's "Simon Says" that had the biggest effect. When Simon says get the eff up during a Wolfgang Gartner set, you get the eff up.
