"Today we want to share with you that the tour we are about to go on will be our last," reads the official statement. "We want to thank every single one of you that came with us on this journey. We came, we raved, we loved."
At present, Swedish House Mafia's tour schedule includes only three dates, all of which are in Europe, but the group plans to announce the "final leg of this journey" in August. While there's no word yet on whether Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Christofer Hedfors, aka Axwell, will continue to record music together, Billboard points out that the Mafia's members have always been primarily interested in their solo careers.
"Swedish House Mafia comes last," manager Amy Thomson told the magazine last year.
Even so, the DJ collective has enjoyed massive success, and before headlining Coachella in April, the trio sold out Madison Square Garden, helping to assert the growing popularity of electronic music.
