Legendary producer A Guy Called Gerald has jumped into the deadmau5 vs. EDM fray, posting a threatening message to "Rat Head" on his blog. "I agree there are loads of people like you who do fake it. It is easy with the software you are using. Don't worry we are going to find ways of stopping you. You greedy rat head fuck." Ha! [AGuyCalledGerald]

And here's deadmau5's response: "i dont give a fuck. esp with the anti-sematic statement about 'nuking palestine' ??? what an ignorant fuck. im not going to even give him the time of day. waste of time. let him go back to being no longer relevant." Disrespect! [deadmau5]

According to Benga, he, his Magnetic Man groupmates Skream and Artwork, Skrillex and Mumford & Sons are the "artists of this generation." So basically, this generation = dubstep and some other guys. [NME]

Wes Anderson's music supervisor, Randall Poster, has hired Skrillex to do original music for Harmony Korine's new film Spring Breakers. "I think Skrillex is just brilliant. When I walked into that club, I felt like I swallowed the music -- it was like Alien, like it went into me." OK dad. [Pitchfork]
