Pete Doherty Goes Back to Rehab, Cancels Festival Gigs

Pete Doherty is going to rehab again. "But he was doing so well!" you might say. The truth is, according to the Guardian, Pete's been indulging in a bit of heroine and crack cocaine for a while and is heading off the Thailand for treatment.

"Doherty flew to the Cabin, in Chiang Mai, Thailand [on Tuesday] escorted by his manager Andy Boyd," reads on message on the former Libertines singer's website. "Doherty's stay at the Cabin will see him undergo a rigorous treatment program designed to lead to recovery once and for all."

This has caused Doherty to cancel a few upcoming festival gigs including T in the Park in Glasgow, Super Bock Super Rock festival in Portugal and Rock for People in the Czech Republic.

The singer was recently back in the spotlight after putting up an original Amy Winehouse painting for auction. Prior to her death, the "Rehab" singer was coaxed by Doherty to paint a self portrait with her own blood.
