Lily Allen Returns: Singer Makes Surprise Appearance at Stones Roses Reunion Show

As if seeing the reunited Stone Roses rock their hometown of Manchester, England, weren't enough, fans on hand last night in Heaton Park witnessed the surprise return of Lily Allen, who performed with rapper Professor Green, the NME reports. Allen announced her retirement from music in 2009, but earlier this year, the British singer revealed she's working on new music.

Allen joined the Professor for "Just Be Good to Green," their joint single from 2010. Appropriately enough, Lily rocked a red Stone Roses T-shirt, and afterward, she took to Twitter for some sly self-deprecation.

"No @professorgreen wasnt swinging a cat around on stage @HEATONPARK that was me trying to sing. loved it , thanks manchester x x x," Allen tweeted.
