Portland, Oregon act Portugal. the Man made sure to dish out enough of their toughened-up U2-meets-Death Cab for Cutie rock. Perhaps the reason why the band has been sounding so tough lately is because of an emerging Wu-Tang Clan connection.
"So RZA called us one day and he was like, 'Man, I really, really want to work with you guys," John Gourley tells Spinner in a video interview, slyly implying it was the rapper who courted them, not the other way around.
"I only want to work with Wu-Tang, ever," Gourley finishes.
