Theresa Andersson, 'Street Parade' -- Video of the Day
- Posted on Jul 2nd 2012 6:00PM by Sam Einhorn
Artist: Theresa Andersson
Video: "Street Parade"
Highlight: "We made the 'Street Parade' video in two short days," Andersson tells Spinner. "Director Alicia J. Rose came in to New Orleans from Portland and brought with her the DP for 'Portlandia,' Bryce Fortner. Together they assembled an amazing New Orleans crew for the shoot. Musicians from my marching band and several friends came to get painted gold. I think they kept their golden glow for days and days after the shoot. Before the first day of the shoot I had never been to the Music Box. This place transports you into a magical world and it was perfect for the video. The buildings you see in the shoot are actual instruments. This is how New Orleans feels. Everything here has an alternate state to what you might think at first glance."
