In Their Words: "This whole record is based on my dad and step mom's relationship. My dad's a trucker and has had a pretty rough go of it at times, and the same goes for his love life. I experienced some scarring things when I was young staying with him and I guess I'm still writing songs reflecting those experiences. It's not a bitter record, I'm not angry anymore, it's just a reflection. 'Heal Over Time' was the last song recorded. It was half written when I brought it to the band at the studio. They honestly learned it on the spot in five minutes, and we finished the arrangement on the fly. One take, done. Pure pleasure from a deep place. Enjoy." -- Singer Ben Cook
