According to television station KPHO, Booher, a resident of Mesa and a recent graduate of Arizona State University, was driving with two other band members from Chicago en route to Shakopee, Minn., when their car lost control after a tire blew out. The car overturned on the highway.
"Steven [Rouk, the other half of While We're Up] and Trevor [McCoy, another passenger] were airlifted to nearby hospitals where they have spent yesterday and today recovering -- Zach Booher was killed immediately," a rep for the band wrote on their Facebook page Monday evening. "No one can speak in words the tragedy of losing Zach. He was not only an amazing musician in While We're Up, but he was also an irreplaceable friend to countless numbers of people," the band added.
The group was traveling along with the Vans Warped Tour and penned a lengthy blog post on their site regarding their adventures. The Warped Tour had no posting or comment as of Wednesday morning regarding Booher's death on their site.
Wisconsin State Patrol is still investigating the crash. Rivertowns.net reported that both McCoy and Rouk were transported to Luther Hospital in Eau Claire and that all three people in the car were wearing their seatbelts.
While We're Up released their independent debut album Every Moment in 2011. There's no word yet on funeral arrangements.

This could have been avoided, I'm sure he slammed on the brakes when the tire blew, something you should NEVER do, just let the car slow by it's self, so sad.
July 12 2012 at 5:52 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplySorry for another yong entertainer to loose his life in a car crash. I am sadened by these stories as I was once a young enteratiner and serviced an automobile accidnet. I did not become famous; but I did live to the ripe old age of 61!

July 12 2012 at 1:39 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplySo sad when anyone loses their life from something they had no control over. Look at Justin Berber who couldn't care less who his wreckless driving kills. This young person obviously lost his life and did nothing wrong.
