Blink-182 May Tour Without Travis Barker

In 2008, Barker was on board a private plane that crashed upon takeoff. He sustained severe burns on over 1/3 of his body while fellow passenger Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was seriously injured.
Since that moment, Barker has developed a crippling phobia of flying, and has suggested that he will be unable to tour with the rest of Blink next year in Australia.
"It's hard to say what the band could do or what its potential is, because I can't really get everywhere," Barker tells Red Bulletin (via NME), citing the 24-hour flight to Australia would be a huge undertaking.
"I'm contemplating getting knocked out and getting on a plane to Australia. I want to overcome that eventually. My kids are scared to death to fly. I want them to witness me overcome it."
The band is currently touring Europe, promoting their latest album Neighborhoods. Do you think Blink will be the same without Travis?

Soo he isn't afraid to have someone stab him with a needle a million times in order to get that ugly tattoo on him but he won't fly ?? Then again if I saw him getting on a plae I would be afraid ..

July 15 2012 at 7:00 PM Report abuse Permalink +3 rate up rate down ReplyI've come up with an idea that would revolutionalize air travel. you offer a service under the care of doctors where you put people to sleep for the duration of a flight. in short it would essencially be time travel, as for you, a 7 hour flight would take say 3 seconds. about as much time as the gas to take effect.
you would pay extra,and I think there are so many people who would love to turn those flights that last hours into seconds.
