"Pete was discharged today for therapeutic reasons. It is important to maintain the integrity of the treatment programme for the other clients to have a good chance of recovery. Pete understands this and therefore the reasons behind why we have asked him to leave," the site's program director Alastair Mordey said in a press release.
"Although our parting with Pete is amicable, we are of course disappointed to see him leave. We hope some of the things he has learnt here will help him in the future and look forward to the day when Pete decides to consider recovery again."
Though Mordey's comments convey an air of diplomacy, as the Daily Mail points out, they also show that Pete's stay at The Cabin was unsuccessful. The rocker's time at the rehab center, which costs £7,200 a month, was spent hiking, doing yoga and other activities. But in recent days, the singer's progress allegedly began to derail. The Cabin has a 96 percent success rate, but it appears Doherty has fallen beyond the margin.
He is said to be on his way back to London after completing only half of the required treatment.

"Celebrity rehabs" seldom work. The client only enters into these high-priced joints to take a rest, nothing more.

The suggested plan for recovery is generally seen as too simplistic. It generally works for ANY type of person, so that people with humility, like one commentor suggested, do better. It's not for 'stars.' It's for people who want an end to their . . .umm . . . suffering with respect to drugs or craziness. From people I know and from what i've seen, being 'successful' actually works against you. :(

July 18 2012 at 3:36 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIf this idiot is not going to take this serious and worse yet, disturb the people there that are, he deserves to be tossed. And, yes, I have been there, one time. At present count, 8 1/2 years clean and sober without a relapse.
