Bruce Springsteen Makes Surprise Appearance in Norway, Plays 'We Shall Overcome' at Memorial for Shooting Victims

The Boss and E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt played the protest anthem "We Shall Overcome," and addressing the crowd of 60,000, Springsteen remembered the victims of last July's deadly terrorist attack.
"Steve and I are honored to be included here tonight," he said. "For all of us who love democracy and tolerance, it's an international tragedy."
In addition to killing 69 people at a youth camp on Utoya island, Anders Behring Breivik bombed a government building in Oslo, killing an additional eight people. Breivik confessed to the massacre and is expected to be sentenced next month.
