The London Olympics and their Paul McCartney-fronted opening ceremonies are over, and we're now deep into the actual competition (Have you watched handball yet?).

And while montages set to the "Chariots of Fire" theme may be the first image that comes to mind in times like these -- and perhaps the Belle and Sebastian "The Stars of Track and Field" scene from Pumpkin, second -- we've found 15 others that should (but, alas, don't) easily trump these. Race car sound effects and all.
