Though this move may surprise some, Dylan has always been known for his wily ways, and he certainly has no qualms about collaborating with brands and products. Remember his 2004 Victoria Secret commercial?
Regardless of how it comes to us, the track sounds very typically Dylan but remarkably fresh. It is certainly bluesy with hints of zydeco, definitely along the same lines of Love & Theft, just a little more spaced out.
Dylan said in an interview with Rolling Stone that he intended to make this record more spiritual, but it just didn't pan out that way. "I wanted to make something more religious. I just didn't have enough [religious songs]" Dylan said. "Intentionally, specifically religious songs is what I wanted to do. That takes a lot more concentration to pull that off 10 times with the same thread -- than it does with a record like I ended up with."
