Killers Drummer Groped Michelle Obama: Ronnie Vannucci Accidentally Grabbed First Lady's Butt

If Barack Obama wins a second term in office, don't expect the Killers to play the inauguration. In a new interview with NME, drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. reveals that he accidentally groped First Lady Michelle Obama during a trip to the White House.

The unintentional goosing occurred in July 2010, when the Killers performed for the president and his wife as part of the nation's Fourth of July celebrations. After the concert, the Las Vegas synth-pop band got the chance to meet Barack and Michelle, and while that was bound to be a memorable experience, Vannucci evidently got more than he bargained for.

"Playing the White House was great," the drummer said. "But I ended up grabbing Michelle Obama's ass. She's a hugger! And she's unexpectedly tall so, when we were all being introduced to them, she went in for the hug, and because she's so tall, she ended up with her arms over me like this. Which meant that, the way I had positioned myself, suddenly I found I was grabbing her ass."

The Killers' long-awaited fourth album, Battle Born, arrives in September -- unless Barack defends his lady's honor and issues an executive order to block its release.
