Randy Scott Slavin
The singer/rapper has worked with director Randy Scott Slavin once again to achieve an enticing, creepy spectacle of neon colors and X-ray images over a banging club beat.
"I am a big fan of Derek [Allen]. We met out in LA.. when he did the 'Turn It Gold' remix and I've wanted to do something original with him ever since," Potash tells Spinner.
"This song was like the buried treasure in a folder of tracks he sent -- I heard it and was immediately like 'WHAT is that sound?' I couldn't get it out of my head. The concept of the song is about parallel universes, other lives. The video reflected this. Randy bought VCRs on Craigslist and got very deep into this concept -- what is happening inside that one second of static on that tape? If we slowed it down to 3 minutes, what would it look like? Inside there's a whole other world, another life."
