In His Words: "When the idea for the tribute came up, I was not sure that I wanted 'Bonnie & Clyde' on the album, because it was very long to sing and felt it would be very hard to cast a partner who could capture the same classic style of Brigitte Bardot, the original singer in duet with my father. A friend of mine suggested Scarlett, so I listened to her last album "Break Up" with Pete Yorn. I really got into her voice and style of singing, and I also learned they did this album in inspiration with my father and Bardot's time, so what more could I ask for! I reached out to all her people personally. She was very excited, and wanted to meet to discuss the song and project a bit more in detail. We had a great lunch together, and next thing I knew, we were in the studio together." -- Singer Lulu Gainsbourg
