Matisyahu Recaps 'The Possession' Premiere, Dirty Heads Go Nuts -- Tour Diary

Matisyahu and the Dirty Heads are currently on a joint tour across the U.S. and they are giving Spinner an exclusive look inside life on the bus. Below, read excerpts from the bands' tour diaries about life on the road, movie premieres and promiscuous turtles.

Matisyahu:

Last week, I went to the premiere of my movie "The Possession." This is my 24 hours around the premiere.

8:00am CDT: Arrive in Mobile [Al.] to play a show.

12:00pm CDT: Show has been deemed a go even though there is a hurricane alert. It is being named the official Hurricane Isaac party.

Midnight: Show ends. I get into a van with my wife and baby and drive to Atlanta.

6:00am EDT: Roll up to Atlanta airport.

7:00am EDT: Stuck at security because my wife tried to smuggle 4 half empty bottles of water.

8:50am EDT: Listen to Richard Anderson do his pre-flight schtick.

10:30am PDT: Arrival at LAX.

12:00pm PDT: Riding an elevator to my suite at Four Seasons with Carlos Santana. I say "Hey Carlos." He's never heard of me.

The rest of the day was spent doing interviews, a press conference, and getting ready for the premiere.

6:00pm PDT: Limo to red carpet.

6:40pm PDT: On red carpet, paranoid, wondering when movie starts.

8:52pm PDT: I get up to go to the bathroom and miss my best scenes.

9:20pm PDT: Movie over, en route to LAX.

11:55pm PDT: Depart LAX for Jacksonville.

9:42am EDT: Arrival in Jacksonville for show.
