Sons of Bill, 'Siren Song' -- Video of the Day
- Posted on Sep 12th 2012 6:00PM by Maggie Malach
Artist: Sons of Bill
Video: "Siren Song"
Highlight: "In some ways 'Siren Song' is about the innocent infatuation with rock 'n' roll you have when you're 14 years old and the ways in which that mythology still grips you as a grow older," lead singer and guitarist James Wilson tells Spinner. "There is part of you that learns as you get older that the theatrics, posturing, antics and marketing of rock 'n' roll is in certain ways an elaborate and beautiful lie -- a siren song to steer you off course from what you should be doing with your life. But on the other hand, there is a part of you that can't let go of that dream, that spark, that un-self-conscious love for it you had as a teenager. For the video it just made sense for us to compile some of the road footage from our spring tour from shows in Austin, New York, Nashville, Baltimore, Richmond and Charlottesville, and try to put it together in a way that tells that story."
