Heavy Cream, 'John Johnny' -- Best Songs of 2012 You Probably Haven't Heard

Nashville's Heavy Cream is pouring its own brand of rock 'n' roll into their hometown's house blend of country lore. The band, who hail from JEFF the Brotherhood's Infinity Cat label, are a couple of gals that play loud and fast -- but don't you mess with them.

The crew's single "John Johnny" begins with buzzsaw distortion reminiscent of Jack White. And while the song itself was produced by Ty Segall, it stands out on its own as a girl-group hit. Think early Runaways with some real balls.
