According to TMZ, a warrant has been issued for his arrest after an alleged victim filed a police report and pressed assault charges against Hart, born Michael Hartman. The concert took place Sept. 8 at the Terrapin Hill Farm in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. It's standard procedure in the Bluegrass State for a warrant to be issued once the alleged victim decides to press charges.
Hart -- who performed with the Grateful Dead from 1967 through to 1995 and celebrated his 69th birthday on Tuesday (Sept. 11) -- has yet to make any comment, but Hart's representatives told the publication they are looking into the situation.
The musician has no tour dates slated until October when he performs at the Yonder Mountain String Band's Harvest Music Festival in Ozark, Arkansas with additional U.S. dates confirmed for later in the month. Hart released a new studio album with his band entitled Mysterium Tremendum in April.
