Adele, 'Skyfall' -- Listen

Adele's latest song "Skyfall" has finally hit the airwaves and it is a doozy! The sousaphone-laden masterwork is to accompany the newest James Bond film of the same name, and if the song is any indication -- this movie is probably going to be awesome.

TV composer J.A.C. Redford helped arrange a 77-piece orchestra to accompany Adele's famous pipes, with the help of "Rolling in the Deep" knob master Paul Epworth. Check out "Skyfall" below.

This is my favorite song of all time; however, the video needs to reflect the despair of that song and it doesn't do that at all. I mean you look great, Adele, but strolling the Thames even on a cloudy day is not the backdrtop I pictured for that song, sorry. And you look far too terrific for the lyrics. I'm not an art director, just an ardent fan, but you need little or no makeup, hair definitely disheveled, and the final chorus of your song needs to show the emotion your voice conveys with the
sing-cry intonation. A tearful cheek would be how I see it. No hysterical crying, just a solo tear down your cheek and fade to black. Your song is wonderful and I'm wild about the last chorus. You have so-o much soul I was hoping to see a litte more of it in the video. Thanks and I hope you get to, at least, read this. Jim

I think what Robert is saying is Adele is wonderful...But the song is pretty weak... Put it next to Goldfinger, Thunderball, The Spy Who Loved Me, You Only Live Twice, Live and Let Die, From Russia with Love, For Your Eyes Only and you be the judge... That's what I got out of his posts.

No surprise that Adele just an amazing job with this song (she can sing the phone book.) The song itself, I don't care for. Very James Bond, "Diamonds Are Forever," mixed with something else. Will wait for Adele's original stuff.
