Duffy Escapes Fire at London Home

Welsh singing sensation Duffy narrowly escaped a fire in her London home Wednesday night. The blaze tore through the "Mercy" singer's £12 million loft apartment in Southwest London, but firefighters were there just in time to help her out.

However, Duffy soon became distressed after exiting the 10 story luxury apartment complex when she realized her cat was no where to be found.

Fortunately, the cat turned up underneath a nearby vehicle, the Evening Standard reports. Duffy also escaped with another feline and her trusty dog.

"Because of the complicated lay out of the structure crews are working in, firefighters are likely to remain at the scene for some time today (Oct. 4) as they continue to damp down and extinguish any small pockets of fire which still remain," firefighter spokesman John Snelgrove told local media.

Thankfully, the fire was contained to Duffy's 9th floor flat without spreading elsewhere. Authorities report that no one was injured.
