Smoke & Jackal, 'OK OK' -- Song Premiere

Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill and Nick Brown of Mona have teamed up to form side project Smoke & Jackal -- and the results are more than "OK." The band's six song collection, EP1 will hit record stores Oct. 16, but you can get a sneak peak at the duo's latest single right here.

"OK OK" manages to contain the energy of a Kings of Leon track due to Followill's bass grooves, but it's Brown's bright, soaring vocals that make the song truly unique.

"Coming together just worked," Followill tells Spinner. "I think it's because we took such an easy approach to it, we didn't bring any egos to it. We just talked about each other's ideas, neither one of us got our feelings hurt. It just worked."
