The announcement comes months after Bruce praised some things President Obama was doing right, but lamented that he was too corporate-friendly. Regardless of his statements, Bruce, who had been quiet on the campaign-front in past weeks, is ready to back Obama once again.
On Tuesday, Oct. 18, Bruce will campaign with Bill Clinton at a rally in Parma, Ohio and head to another rally in Ames, Iowa.
In a statement, Obama campaign manager, Jim Messina said: "Bruce Springsteen's values echo what the President and Vice President stand for: hard work, fairness, integrity. His appearances will help with our get out the vote effort in these critical swing states and we are thrilled with his ongoing support."
Both events are free and open to the public.
Bruce is currently on his Wrecking Ball tour.

Election Day in exactly 3 weeks. That night, the swirling sounds you hear will be Romney's campaign going down the drain.
Someone who understands the reasons Bruce supports the President knows it is not political. Hint .... It is socio-economic. For further clues; read the music sheets enclosed with his CD's. You will probably figure it out all by yourself.
October 16 2012 at 5:20 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down Reply...Wonderful... I really thought he finally quit doin' this crap. The last time he did this he unnerved a good deal of his fan base by vocalizing his blatant campaign support of Sen. John Kerry.
It might be one thing for musicians/performers to encourage the importance of voting in general. However, I personally don't need Bruce Springsteen, Ted Nugent --or anyone else for that matter-- blabbin' to me about who I need to vote for for President... especially if paid $100+ to hear Bruce Springsteen sing "Jungleland". For Bruce Springsteen to use his fame and the concert stage to constantly complain about his political disenchantments and/or promote his own political beliefs affiliation is selfish completely irritating. It is not important to me what he thinks
As someone already stated here, who the fans of Bruce Springsteen actually vote for is very much personal and individual choice. In my opinion, Bruce is far better at just singing about cars, bars, and girls. If he wants to become a political activist, fine. But, he should just do us all a favor by hanging up guitar first.
I bet Kid Rock could bring more to a rally than Springsteen!
