Travel, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll: 15 Most Ridiculous In-Transit Musician Drug Busts

Last week, Nelly's stop at the Sierra Blanca border in Texas came to an end when his tour bus was allegedly found to be containing guns, marijuana and heroin.

However, more shocking than the contents of Nelly's bus (and the fact that he's still getting gigs) is that he's not alone in having his joyride go wrong. Not only have several musicians been stopped and busted on that same stretch of Texas highway, but also many others have been apprehended while on the go as well.

Here's our round up of the most noteworthy in-transit musical drug busts, or as Nelly would say, a list of, um, "Party People."

When you make music that turns out to be Willie Nelson George Michael or Peter Allen (now AIDS dead) you do need drugs. And you need even stronger drugs to listen to their sh*t.

Many young "musicians" like "Monkey" Mariah Carey, female impersonator Britney Spears and transvestite Madonna take drugs so that they can get through the mimming on stage whilst ripping off millions of fans.

And take dangerous drugs these cheats do. But I do not feel sorry one bit for them when they die like dogs, discarded and bloated from overdoses, or when they are bankrupted or ripped off by gangster managers because it is a life they chose. A life of deceptin and self indulgence at the expense of millions of young impressionable kids who go on to do drugs because their "idols" did it.

I never dreamed that Mick Jagger for instance would be caught pushing in David Bowies stool Like Elton makes a virtue of. But after a long spell of coke any hole will do.

Busted sure but how much time did they do? 8 minutes like Lindsay Lohan or whoever it was? What if they found that in my car, an average civilian? I'd still be in jail from a drug bust 20 years ago.

The fact is, if you don't USE illegal drugs, you don't get busted for them. The musicians are stupid for using them in the first place. They don't need them for anything and they are just supporting the Drug Cartels murder and mayhem with their purchases.
