Andrew W.K. Helps Combat Hunger With Partying and Tacos

Andrew W.K. is an awesome dude. Aside from all the fun he has on and off stage, the party rocker carves out some of his time for good causes, like Taco Bell's Feed the Beat campaign. Here, he writes about a charity party he hosted at Rebel NYC.

When I heard that Taco Bell was donating money for World Hunger Relief and creating a campaign, I just had to be involved! Doing something good for the human race and teaming up with my favorite food dudes was a dream come true.

The World Food Programme is a fantastic cause helping millions of people, and Yum! Brands and Taco Bell have really stepped up to the challenge and brought food and hope to so many people all around the globe. On Monday, October 15th, we got together in Manhattan, NYC and had an event to honor the cause, the music and the money raised by Taco Bell and all the taco lovers like me.

Andrew W.K.'s Advice for an Anniversary Party

The party was called Conflict Of Interest and I hosted it and put my party skills to good use. The night's line-up of great Feed the Beat bands added even more energy and awesomeness to the cause - Savoir Adore, Pacific Air, Team Spirit, and The Hounds Below all played excellent sets. I was really impressed by the quality of music and the excellent attitudes - everyone was super nice! And several of the band members were connected to me in interesting and unlikely ways - good omens and good vibes!

One of my other favorite parts of this event was how anyone could reply to my tweets about Taco Bell and World Hunger Relief, and Taco Bell and Yum! Brands would automatically donate $1 to end hunger for each of those tweets, making it easy and fun for people to get involved and support our efforts. I've loved Taco Bell my entire life, and getting to work with them through the Feed the Beat program is always a joy, especially when it's helping save the planet. This was another Taco Bell dream come true, and a genuine life saver for so many people. It proves that partying and tacos really can make the world a better place!
