Courtney Love Nirvana Musical: Sam Lutfi Testifies That It's in Development

Just when we thought no more crazy stuff could come out of the ridiculous Sam Lutfi and Britney Spears court case, the pop star's former (alleged) manager dropped another bombshell. This time, however, it has nothing to do with Brit and her (also alleged) drug use.

While testifying under oath, Lutfi let it be known that he and Courtney Love have big plans for the story of her late husband Kurt Cobain and his groundbreaking grunge band Nirvana.

"We are currently working on a possible motion picture or Broadway musical based on the Nirvana catalogue, based on her life and Kurt Cobain's," Lutfi testified yesterday.

Lutfi claims he was Britney's manager from 2007 to 2008 and is suing her and her family for libel, breach of contract and supposedly unpaid fees worth millions. After the trial, Spears' former manager tried to downplay the comments.

"It's an idea. I'm sorry. I can't say anything more," he said. Love has yet to comment. Between this and the news that CBS is developing a sitcom called "Smells Like Teen Spirit," it's a rough week for any Nirvana fan who treasures the band's legacy.
