Fucked Up's Damian Abraham Now Has His Own Throbblehead

Fucked Up singer Damian Abraham has been called many things in his career but a "Throbblehead" probably wasn't one of them. Until now.

Aggronautix has announced Abraham and comedian David Cross will see their likenesses recreated (or "polyresinated" as the company describes it) to become the two newest "Throbblehead" creations.

The toy "throbblehead," which is similar to bobblehead creations of celebrities and athletes, will be limited to 500 units and stand seven inches tall. The Abraham "freakout mode" model is "accurately sculpted right down to his signature kicks and monstrous qualities." It even has the bloody forehead from Abraham's earlier days of slamming beer cans into it.

"To know that I will now be able to stand myself shoulder to shoulder (on a toy shelf) with my heroes like (Antiseen member) Jeff Clayton, Keith Morris (Off! singer) and J Mascis has made all the nights away from my family and stitches in my head worth it," Abraham said in a statement. The box the "throbblehead" comes in features images of Abraham with a photo of the figurine.

The Fucked Up singer also joins Andrew W.K., Mike Watt, D.O.A.'s Joe "Shithead" Keithley and Roky Erickson as musicians who have been immortalized in the same manner. The company also created one for the late punk musician GG Allin, which could be considered their most popular model. In fact, there are three different editions of Allin, including a "1991 Extra Filthy Bloody Edition" issued in 2009.

Fucked Up are currently off the road, but are gearing up for the Long Winter festival series set for Toronto starting Nov. 8. The band will perform alongside Diana, Unfinished Business and other acts with readings and artwork also featured. In a September blog post the band said such shows would "run monthly through the winter at The Great Hall and involve music, dance, comedy, video works, food, drama, everything we can think of and connect too."

Fucked Up's last album David Comes to Life in 2011. It was nominated for the 2012 Polaris Music Prize.
