Morrissey Postpones the Rest of U.S. Tour, Rushes to be by his Sick Mother's Side

The singer was set to resume his tour in Minneapolis, Minn. on Monday, but in a statement from his manager, that unfortunately won't be the case.
"All remaining dates on the current U.S. Tour have been postponed -- but not cancelled -- as Morrissey has returned to England where his mother has been hospitalized and is unwell," the statement reads. "Due to issues with his mother's health, Morrissey will need to remain by her side during this difficult period."
There was no indication of what illness his mother, Elizabeth, was hospitalized for.
According to reports, the shows will be rescheduled, and fans should hold onto their tickets. New dates will be announced soon.
