tyDi 'Jelly': Rising EDM Star Offers New Track for Download, Talks 'Blowing Up Worldwide'

Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, 25-year-old producer and DJ tyDi might be the next big thing. The rising EDM star, who has a residency in Las Vegas and performs a grueling 200 or more shows per year, is currently ranked #48 in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ list, and has been honored the International Dance Music Award's Best Breakthrough DJ of the World award, presented by Tiësto.

Spinner spoke with classically trained producer about his new single, "Glow in the Dark," which features Estonian singer Kerli, and convinced him to let us offer his new track "Jelly" for free download.

"It sounds weird but for some reason the wobbly synth sound reminded me of Jelly," tyDi explained. "Usually my song titles have a little more meaning, but not this one!"

As for his intense touring schedule, the Aussie DJ said that he's ready whatever comes his way.

"I've gotten a chance to work with some artists who I never thought I would before, things seem to be really blowing up worldwide," he said. "I just released my latest single 'Glow in the Dark' which features vocals from a friend of mine named Kerli."
