The Kirkland, N.Y. Police Department found a "small amount" of heroin alongside the singer's daughter. Other drug paraphernalia and marijuana was also found at the scene.
According to The Associated Press, Bongiovi was taken to an undisclosed hospital, where she remains. She has been ordered to appear in court at a later date.
Stephanie was ticketed with criminal possession of a controlled substance and marijuana (both misdemeanors). 21-year-old Ian Grant, of Red Bank, N.J., was also arrested when police responded to the scene.
Bongiovi has since been released. Her father is still scheduled to perform at a benefit concert for Hamilton in Times Square on Dec. 5.
If you're thinking that the apple doesn't fall fair from the tree, you'd be mistaken. In an interview with People, the singer claims that he didn't do drugs as a performer.
"I did the drug thing very young and wised up very young too, because I was into drugs a little too much," he says. "I've never been a drug guy. I've always felt I didn't have the mental stability to handle drugs."
Hopefully his daughter can get the help she needs sooner rather than later.

November 15 2012 at 1:46 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHe and his band were staying in the same hotel that I was back in 1990, I was out at the pool where they were all there sitting around talking. I walked up to him and asked him for his autograph for my two children. He was rude, as well as his band members. He wouldn't even respond to me, like I wasn't even there, and one of his band members said to me" Why don't you go the hell away and leave us alone". I did just that and never turned back. When I got back home and told my kids about what happened, that was the end to their liking him. I have run into many celebs in my travels and this was the first and only time I ever had one react like that. Every time I hear a song of his come on the radio, I switch channels. He was such a jerk!

November 15 2012 at 12:41 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyDrugs aren't cheap....depending on how often ONE uses too!!! There's better things to be doing at that age anyway, rather than wasting time spacing out!! Yeah I know teens like to experiment. Most of us did too! BUT......Heroin isn't exactally something you start off with when experimenting. AND..... No it's not an easy drug to quit. It doesn't have to take lots of money and/or some fancy rehab program to kick-the-habit. Family and/or REAL friends (NO! your dealer is not your friend) must be ready to support their addicted love one 24/7 for the next several months or more. Addicts of ANY kind aren't bad people, they were tricked to believe it will just take the edge off their problems. Hard road a head, time to undo NIOREH!! heroin

They both are making a terrible mistake doing drugs but at least no one died. My heart goes out to the family and hopefully she will get the help she needs. God bless them all.
